I’m okay with this. I’m a big fan of Bale, but he’s not Italian.

I know a lot of people don’t agree with this but I don’t care how a actor matches up ethnically/biologically with a character. I want to see who can perform the part best regardless.

Well, I don’t doubt he could play a great Italian, but I just don’t think he looks very Italian.

Michael Mann is making a biopic about Enzo Ferrari? Did this come as part of the deal that got him the white TR for Miami Vice?

I have no idea who TR is or know much about Miami Vice at all but I do know that Michael Mann was the Executive Producer on the series so I imagine he got to do whatever he wanted with the movie.

Ah! Sorry. History lesson: When the series first came on, Don Johnson was driving a replica 365GTS/4, or Ferrari Daytona Spyder. As it was a kit car, Ferrari (with the prodding from real Daytona owners, I assume) took issue and sued. Part of the deal was that Ferrari offered to give them a Testarossa (TR) to use if they got rid of the Daytona....which they did in somewhat spectacular fashion.

Ah, the closest I’ve come to watching Miami Vice is The Wedding Singer and that Key and Peele sketch.
